Building construction contract.
I suspect the author has invented this term, as it were, as I can find it nowhere in relation to Construction.
What would be an appropriate solution?

It is a very common term in the south of Spain. It means a building that is structurally finished, but not on the inside, often without interior walls even. Just the basic shell.

: From my experience of Spanish builders, you're better off doing the interiors and wiring/plumbing yourself... :)

Thanks, Neil. Not in my experience, but then my building skills aren't that good.

"Bare shell refers to a property, whose construction is completed and has basic building services in place. However, such properties have unfurnished interiors and lack heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems, lighting, plumbing, and elevators"
