Probably Latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) Explanation: Latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) - WHO Latent tuberculosis infection (LTBI) is a state of persistent immune response to stimulation by Mycobacterium tuberculosis antigens without evidence of clinically manifested active TB. Someone has latent TB if they are infected with the TB bacteria but do not have signs of active TB disease and do not feel ill. In people with LTBI, live TB bacilli remain inactive without causing disease, however the bacilli can at some point become active, multiply, and cause TB disease. The risk of progressing from LTBI to active TB disease is related to the virulence of the M. tuberculosis strain and the susceptibility of the host (e.g. malnutrition, immunocompromised status). People with LTBI represent a large human reservoir for TB, which is why management of LTBI is a crucial step towards TB elimination. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 1 heure (2019-11-17 19:20:38 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- I also got an answer from an ID specialist for non-bacillary TB An approach to estimating tuberculosis incidence and case ... de KK Avilov - 2015 - Cité 9 fois - Autres articles The model describes disease progression as a two-stage process (bacillary and non-bacillary TB), and so relates the proportion of bacillary TB cases on ... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 5 heures (2019-11-17 22:24:00 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Use of the QuantiFERON -TB Gold in Tube test for screening ... 22 avr. 2015 - as having bacillary or non-bacillary TB based on the results of either culture or polymerase chain reaction for M. tuberculosis with sputum or ... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 16 heures (2019-11-18 09:30:44 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Other answer from the same department: non-contagious pulmonary tuberculosis The First Pastors of Ste Luce, Frenchville, Maine In the fall of 1914, Father Bergeron was diagnosed with a sort of non-contagious pulmonary tuberculosis.
