Life Guard - In accordance with the requirements, each motor bogie is equipped with a spring loaded deflector which automatically folds down when getting into contact with obstacles, to ensure pedestrian protection.
A life guard will be provided in front of the respective first axle of the first bogie in the direction of travel. Spanning the entire width of the bogie, it is fixed to the axle bearings and can be adjusted in height to match wheels adjusted due to wear. In addition, all motor bogies have rail guards.

Es gibt aber Schutzvorrichtungen, z.B. bei Schneidemaschinen, die einfach Retter oder Lebensretter genannt werden. Ich würde z.B. die Retter am Strand doch lieber als Rettungsschwimmer bezeichnen.
