Czech term

indikační seminář

Czech to English Medical Medical (general)
... prochází pacient indikačním seminářem, na kterém je na základě výsledků hodnocena vhodnost pacienta ke kauzální terapii - k chirurgickému řešení.

I haven't seen 'indication seminar' anywhere in English except on a few Czech websites.

Discussion

Dylan Edwards (asker) Sep 23, 2019:
Thanks, all. I've looked into the question of "indication rounds" (before surgery) and "problem rounds" (after surgery), etc.
Hannah Geiger (X) Sep 9, 2019:
multidisciplinary treatment evaluation ??? I kept thinking a la "concilium" but it is not corporate enough for today, IMO :)
Will Volny Sep 9, 2019:
Ah yes, rounds is probably better than workshop. Much better.
Sarka Lhotak Sep 9, 2019:
The word "rounds" is used even for medical lectures on a certain topic where examples of real patient cases are used. Therefore it does not mean "vizita".
Sarka Lhotak Sep 9, 2019:
The actual name in English, at least at this side of the Atlantic, is "rounds", can be "interdisciplinary rounds", in this case "indication rounds". E.g. here: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/24006027
Roni_S Sep 9, 2019:
It seems to be some sort of major consultation between all the specialists about the best course of treatment, with or without the patient in question present. Not sure if there's an actual name for it in English.

agree Will Volny : Agree. I found this as well. Could 'Workshop' provide the sense of what a indikacni-seminar entails? Perhaps more of a business term?
