XXX’s technology for blisk production is not limited to the agile machining centres. To complement the machine
dynamics and capabilities there are several interlligent functions like Super Geometric Intelligence (Super GI), Inertia
Active Control and Collision Safeguard. The benefits these technologies bring to blisk HSM are improved surface quality
and reduced machining time. The actual feed rate on a conventional machine slows down compared to the commanded
feed rate, especially on the leading and trailing edges. Super GI.5 motion control ensures the constant actual feed
rate on the machine while maintaining the required high surface quality without gouging, i.e. eliminitaing the need for
hand blending or reduced vibro-polishing time, as the need for continuous acceleration and deceleration movements is
reduced.
