Lower the pump housing so that the wedge is placed squarely on the capsulator / die rolls.
Fix the wedge in a wedge lock.
Start the heat of the wedge by putting on the cartridge heaters at 38ºC to 42ºC set sufficient pressure to the capsulator / die rolls by switching the pneumatic switch ON these will start cutting the ribbon and start producing the slugs.

Anybody know what a "pump wedge" is?

This is a technical manual explaning the process of operating a machine for fabrication of softgel medicine capsules.

I Know what a "pump" is, and I also know what a "wedge" is. But somehow, in this context they don't sound right together.
