Medical (general)
From a CT scan report under the findings section, the French says "vessie de lutte diverticulaire" (no additional context).
I am having difficulty determining the appropriate wording in English. Compressive bladder caused by diverticulitis?
TIA.

hypertrophic bladder (secondary to outflow obstruction)
There does not seem to be a neat equivalent in English, so I would use a phrase which describes the bladder changes. Hypertrophy is the predominant change, which can be followed by further structural changes such as diverticulae (as in this case).
See https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1537051/
Hypertonic is probably not the best summary term, since the bladder wall acrually loses tone at some point.

Comment: "Thank you for the help! I ended up using this a starting point and provided my translation with a description since, as you mentioned, there is no neat equivalent."

Retentional bladder wall changes
Structural changes which occur in the bladder wall just above a chronic obstacle (muscle hypertrophy thickening...)

I wonder here if 'vessie de lutte' means any changes due to obstruction (no matter the nature of the changes) or hypertrophy (specifically).
