The side trims of the recesses and gable will be in marble the same as the floor;

disagree Thomas Walker : I think this is about what we in the US call a tub surround - 3 sidewalls above the tub in an alcove, impermeable so splashed water doesn't get into the walls. But there is no gable in this, so "faldon" must mean something else here. Don't know what, tho.

Yes, I wondered if it meant 'skirting', ( zócalo), or even ' arch'; It certainly isn't called a ' tub surround' here in the UK;
