To make easier the consultation of related subjects, the recalling connections inside the manual are executed pointing out the alphanumeric reference code of the involved chapter, figure or table.

The source term is of course nonsense in EN, but it is clear enough what they were trying to say: a reference or cross reference from one part of the text to another, whence my suggestions.

If this is in fact an electronic document, and these are actual hotlinks, you might want to consider using 'lien' (or even 'hyperlien') — which brings you closer to the source text's (inapppropriate!) use of 'connexion' (which might in itself be a clue).

Thank you, Asker! I was a colege lecturer for many years, and am a trained TEFL teacher, though translation somehow seems to have taken over from that now!
