Textiles / Clothing / Fashion / interview with trend forecaster Li Edelkoort
Italian term or phrase: serafica
Context:

Se chiediamo a Li Edelkoort una definizione di tessuto, serafica risponde: ”È come un pittogramma, un campione che ci restituisce la foto dello status quo economico, politico e culturale del nostro tempo.

To be honest, I am not sure of how to translate this term in this context. I understand all the rest of the sentence, but I don't get the gist of the term "serafica" used in this way.

Could it be translated as "she answered angelically" or am I way off track?

I did some research and came up with this: http://www.pittimmagine.com/en/corporate/fairs/filati/events...
where an exhibition she coordinated included "angelic details" but I'm not sure this is the right way of translating this term here. Any ideas anyone?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me here.

I think it is more to do with the fact that she doesn't get fazed by the question but replies to it in a calm and collected manner. See the link below for the figurative meaning of serafico. Hope it helps.

Sorry that should've been 'calmly', of course.
