French term

par identiques

French to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s) All inclusive insurance contract
Hello, this comes under the heading:

"Frais de deplacement et de replacement"

Eventuellement, le loyer au l'indemnite d'occupation dépensé par
identiques.

I cannot see what 'par identiques' is.

Again, this is North African French.

TIA

@Linda,
I will do it soon.
Linda Brunet (asker) Jul 20, 2016:
This makes sense to me, thanks. Why don't you post this as a suggested term and see if we get confirmation?

I think "identiques" means here the same as "deplacement and replacement" fees.

It looks as though there must be some reference back to some previous entity in the original. The funds in question are being spent.

However, I've a bit of trouble with the grammar of the original :

- Frais de deplacement et de replacement : should this not read "frais de dépalcement et de reMplacement?

- Eventuellement, le loyer au l'indemnite d'occupation dépensé par
identiques : "le loyer A l'indemnité d'occupation", perhaps?

And the final crunch ; is "dépensé" meant to agree with "loyer" (n.m.) or with "indemnité" (n.f.)???
Note from asker:
It is indeed badly written and is pdf of an image and difficult to read in parts. I may just leave a comment for the client for this part with a suggestion.

agree writeaway : it's what I thought. Didn't really see what else it could mean. Or just 'by the same'.

French term (edited): ou l'indemnite d'occupation dépensée par identiques

or the payment for occupation (mesne profits) disbursed on a like-for-like (market rental) basis

possibly a mix-up with à l'identique: le loyer *ou* l'indemnité d'occupation dépensé(e) par identiques.

Like-for-like: squatter's mesne profits payable are to equate with the market rent paid by a tenant to a landlord.

Peer comment(s):

neutral AllegroTrans : and possibly a mix up of an answer; I would not use "mesne profits" (a patently Norman French term) to describe anything in North Africa

that's why mesne profits is in brackets. Now you suggest what the 'par identiques' term means.
