La casa di via dell’Annunciata, prima esperienza di condominio “moderno” in città, è chiamata “a ville sovrapposte”, più per un omaggio all’immaginifico lessico corbuseriano che per l’invenzione di una vera tipologia. Si tratta infatti di un edificio di sei piani in cortina affacciato sul secolare giardino Perego, coronato da un attico circondato da una grande terrazza panoramica attrezzata con vasche e aiuole, tema che ricorrerà sempre sulle coperture dei loro edifici residenziali alti in città.


In realtà, si dovrebbe parlare di ***“casa con una villa sovrapposta”**, dato che al di sotto di questa sono disposti normali alloggi di diverso taglio con solo i balconi dei soggiorni rivolti verso il giardino

Figini and Pollini, during the '30s, are at the center of the architectural debate, with the direct participation in different research groups and the creation of exemplary projects, capable of arousing interest also outside the national borders. To them we owe the first rationalist buildings built in Milan, including the condo via the Annunciation. The reference to Le Corbusier is not always obvious, but over time reveals the tension towards a more personal language, the result of contamination with the regional building.
Following a theme of Le Corbusier, the top floor there is a superimposed villa, with great attention to the design of loggias, terraces and planters.

The lobbies of both buildings are aligned to allow the exchange of air courtyards, but especially so from the street you can have a glimpse perspective on the green, in a pattern that, according to the designers themselves, is taken from the palaces Historic Milan.
