Italian term

tempo che constituisce un esempio concreto

Italian to English Bus/Financial General / Conversation / Greetings / Letters Insurance marketing
I am not sure whether to translate this literally, but when I do it still makes no sense to me. Is it missing punctuation, or am I missing the point?

Context:

"XXXX" Completa la propria attivita .... con la creazione e quotazione giornaliera sul Sole 24 Ore di "YYYY" un FONDO COLLETTIVO di INVESTIMENTO per la formazione di capitale nel tempo che constituisce un esempio concreto di "ZZZ".

Discussion

James (Jim) Davis Apr 17, 2016:
It has created a fund which is listed. People can invest in it which results in the formation of capital over time, so it is an open fund and this constitutes a concrete (real, actual) example a a particular type of fund that you have termed "ZZ" which from previous posts might be a multi-asset fund.
Lara Barnett (asker) Apr 17, 2016:
The problem... ...with my understanding of this phrase I think is more based on:: "..NEL TEMPO CHE CONSTITUISCE...", rather than "un esempio concreto" (which I can probably translate myself).

Italian term (edited): un FONDO COLLETTIVO di INVESTIMENTO... tempo e che constituisce un esempio concreto

(and) that makes up a specific example of

Yes, probably missing punctuation.

un *FONDO* COLLETTIVO di INVESTIMENTO - per la *formazione* di capitale nel tempo - (e) che constituisce

Surely, it is either the fondo or the fomrazione that is the subject.

- the agreement of the relative clause with the words before depends on what ZZZ is: a time scale, an investment projection or a comparable investment scheme. Hard to guess.
Note from asker:
It just sounds clumsy placed at the end of the sentence. And I have no idea where "il tempo" comes into it.

I can't see any problem, if a literal translation works perfectly why waste time?

I gave Undertaking for collective investment, because this seems to be in Luxembourg where the term UCITS is commonly used

Ucits stands for Undertakings for Collective Investments in Transferable Securities. Ucits provides a single European regulatory framework for an investment vehicle which means it is possible to market the vehicle across the EU without worrying which country it is domiciled in.
