Spanish term

lana rasa

Spanish to English Tech/Engineering Materials (Plastics, Ceramics, etc.)
Hi everyone. This is from a product data sheet in Spain for an acrylic primer paint designed mainly for application on concrete surfaces. Under "Método de aplicación", it indicates "Se puede aplicar con brocha no muy blanda o rodillo de velur (lana rasa)." What kind of wool is "lana rasa"? Any suggestions much appreciated.

agree philgoddard : Short-pile with a hyphen. Nap is fine too.

Yes, with a hyphen if it's an adjective. Thank you, Phil :-)

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "I see now that "short-pile roller" and "short nap roller' are both perfectly valid but I am choosing "short pile" only because it seems more widely used. Thank you very much to everyone for taking the time to help!"
