Reference: Refs. Reference information: Susie: I assume you need to differentiate "subestación" from "estación auxiliar", or perhaps I am off base. Robert has addressed the issue of "subestación" (Wiki link). Susie, what language are you translating into? The context is in Spanish, and it would be logical to assume you are translating into English, and if so the language pair should be reversed yet again. Regards. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 hrs (2016-01-24 17:57:20 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Susie: While this document is in English, this explains the function(s) of an electrical substation: http://www.slideshare.net/qwerty25ty/electric-power-substati... (see page 19 under glossary for "substation") to page 23. IMO, a "booster station" is different (and what I am trying to find is information to support the difference between the electrical substation and the booster station). However, perhaps someone more knowledgeable in this field can pitch in and help to clarify! Please help! -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 3 hrs (2016-01-24 18:06:29 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Suzie: Merely from an English standpoint (but the issue is you are going into Spanish, so my concern may well be moot), if you translate estación auxiliar (which to me is a "booster station), I think they are different things: For example: Patent US1335541 - Booster system - Google Patents www.google.com/patents/US1335541 On the other hand, if the substations are spaced too far apart, the efficiency of the ... **Booster station D is shown as located between substations A and B while ...** |
