SPAIN. I'm familiar with the usual translations of "caballete", but none of them, including those in the proz glossaries, seem to fit as a description for an air outlet.

"La salida de aire más habitual es el caballete... El caballete finaliza unos 2,5 a 3 m antes de llegar a los muros piñones y debe disponer de un sistema de regulación de abertura, para controlar el caudal de ventilación en invierno."

agree  Thomas Walker: The basic meaning of "caballete" for a building is "ridge line." Here it's clear it refers to a vent, so it must be a vent on the ridge line, not on the triangular gable end below the roof. (?)
