蘇佩珊的粤语发音

Chinese to English Other Other
Could anyone help with the Cantonese pronunciation for 蘇佩珊? I've come up with Sou Pui-saan, but I'm not sure if this is correct.

Thank you!

Any time, Preston.

David, thank you as well for the input, I appreciate it.

phonetic Hi Preston, Sharon's suggestion is right if the name is Cantonese (Hong Kong) but to avoid any doubt (and to cover your back) just add "phonetic" beside your translation of the name in case the "actual" spelling is different.

I do this for transcripts especially for legal documents at request of client.

Sharon, thank you, I appreciate the input. As the translation is due fairly soon, and as it's actually unclear whether or not the employee is Cantonese (they work in Hong Kong, but could feasibly be from the Mainland), I may just translate this in Mandarin and include a note that So Pui Shan is a possibility for the Cantonese rendition of the name.

So Pui Shan? Not so sure, but googling a bit of this name limiting to .hk and .gov.hk sites leads to just one result - So Pui Shan.
You may want to wait for input from others.
PS: If this person can be found online, it might be worth checking the exact spelling of her name. There is no hard-and-fast rule to the non-Pinyin transliteration of Chinese names. The same dialect pronunciation may be spelt differently by different people. It all depends on the spelling used when the name was registered!
