This is a material used by an Argentine artist in a work. The label for the piece reads:

Pintura sobre cometa realizado en tela de avión, varillas de fibra de vidrio

So it is paint on a kite that is made out of ...

I saw in proz that "flight chevron canvas fabric" has been translated as "tela de avion", but I am not convinced that that's right here
