Spanish term
Líbrese a la mencionada Audiencia ...
Spanish to English
Law/Patents
Law (general)
Civil suit (property damage liability)
I must admit I don't recall coming across this phrase before. It appears in the second-to-last paragraph of the text describing a case and its outcome as decided by Spain's Supreme Court. The sentence in its entirety reads as follows:
"Líbrese a la mencionada Audiencia la certificación correspondiente con devolución de los autos y rollo de Sala remitidos."
Any suggestions on how to handle the top phrase in particular? TIA!

Exclude from the said hearing....
I think it is either a request or an order to have certain documents excluded from a hearing

: Unlless this is a typo, you seem to have mixed up librar meaning to issue (let the proper cert. be issued) with liberar meaning to release or exempt.

send/communicate to the aforementioned Provincial Court
Es una coletilla que viene en la sentencias del Tribunal Supremo. Quiere decir que se enviará una certificación de la sentencia a la Audiencia Provincial de que se trate y que se le devuelven las actuaciones (los autos y el rollo de sala).
Líbrese es difícil de traducir porque en este contexto quiere decir dos cosas: que se realice la certificación y que además se envíe. I think communicate is slightly better than just send.
