Gebiete, in denen infolge zu geringer Leuchtdichteunterschiede das Erkennen von Gegenstän den gegenüber der Fahrbahn als Hintergrund nich, möglich ist. Bei fahrendem Fahrzeug verändern sich füi den Fahrzeugführer ständig die Leuchtdichteunterschiede im Gesichtsfeld. Durch ungleichmäßige Beleuchtungsstärkeverteilung entstehen dunkle Zonen auf der Fahrbahnoberfläche. Tritt in dieser Zone ein Objekt mil annähernd gleicher Leuchtdichte auf, so ver ändert sich der Kontrast zwischen beider (Kontrastwechsel), und das Objekt wird unsichtbar, d. h., es wird getarnt.
