German term

an oder aufbetoniert

German to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering reinforcement steel
This is about the risk of corrosion due to crack formation:
"Hohes Gefahrenpotential bei behinderten Verformungen. Beispiele: *an oder aufbetonierte* Bauteile wie erneuerte Konsolen, fugenlose Konstruktionen.
Does anybody know the difference between the two, (I have an idea) and how do I best translate that into English?

cast onto

or:
re-concreted
aufbetonieren - to elevate

Possible options in this case:
... new concrete parts such as ... cast onto the structure
re-concreted parts such as...
added or elevated parts such as...

Example sentence:

The wall was cast onto an approximately one meter wide concrete slab which cantilevered off an existing foundation at the testing facility.

The well should be elevated and the pulling tool should be renewed.

Not my field, but this is what I found - maybe it helps:

aufbetoniert: concreted in situ

anbetonieren: to place fresh concrete against old concrete
