English term or phrase: clip the toes
Hello everyone,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8EbEh0qC9RM

between 0.13 and 0.17

... you could do it for a little longer, you clip the toes and just do this for a bit longer.

I'm not absolutely sure the script is 100% accurate, but I can't make out what word he says (clip or not).

Thank you.

Selected answer:grip the toes
Explanation:
It sounds to me more like "grip the toes" than "clip the toes." Only medium confidence, though.

If it is "grip," it would mean to curl, clench the toes tightly, to grip the mat with the toes.

agree  José J. Martínez: I do not like to disagree nor be neutral but the guy talks too fast and I think he uses a special lingo, the term "clip" has a special meaning and since he does not move his lips well, it is a wild guess.

-> Thanks, José. It's definitely muffled, but to me it sounds more like "grip" than "clip." Of course, the other man clearly says the word "clip" just a few seconds earlier.
