"statuizione" forse è un po' più forte del senso di "obtain" come "prevalere, diventare comune".

Comunque, secondo me il senso è: "non è l'esistenza di simili norme o generalizzazioni a creare il nesso causale tra due eventi psichici in una situazione specifica" (mi era venuto in mente "inverare" per "creare").

anch'io propendevo per questa direzione dell'"esistenza" anche se sono ancora insicura sui termini precisi. Statuizione mi sembra un termine più giuridico, non adatto al contesto.

agree  Rosanna Palermo: non comporta il fatto che in qualsiasi occasione da un evento psicologigo ne scaturisca un'altro "make it a case" means constitute valid proof, in other words "it does not necessarily indicate that"
