Natomiast terminu "(wire/conductor) transposition" jak najbardziej można użyć we frazie "przeplot realizowany w gałęzi 1".
Transposition is the periodic swapping of positions of the conductors of a transmission line, in order to reduce crosstalk and otherwise improve transmission. In telecommunications this applies to balanced pairs whilst in power transmission lines three conductors are periodically transposed. (...)

Nie zaproponowałem "transposed branch", gdyż wyrażenie takie nie pojawia się w kontekście stacji elektroenergetycznych - być może więc polski termin "gałąź" trzeba we wszystkich wystąpieniach w tekście tłumaczyć jako "line".
W polskich tekstach gałąź to też linia:
... połączenie gałęzi 7 z gałęzią 6 (wprowadzenie linii do węzła W2).
