Mi chiedo quanto sia volontario, da parte dell'amica, il fatto di prendere il caffè PER continuare a parlare...
Io allenterei leggermente il nesso, così potrebbe essere inteso che l'amica semplicemente prende molto caffè e da lì trova la forza di continuare, non che prende il caffè specificamente per trovare questa forza.
Il contesto potrebbe aiutarti a capire qual è l'opzione migliore.
