En unas partes del texto traduje "evidence" como "relación", ya que establecen una asociación entre variables que le permiten a los economístas analizar algún cambio que pueda provocar un impacto en la economía, por ejemplo, el cambió de las políticas monetarias. En el caso que les consulto no estoy totalmente segura si aquí también debo traducirlo como "relación".

The key research question in this paper is whether China's OFDI has had any displacement effect on that of other countries, especially those in the OECD. A preliminary examination of Fig. 2 may show such evidence. The OFDI share of OECD countries in the global total decreased alongside an increase in China's share. Whether this evidence is statistically significant requires much more careful econometric analysis, which is the main objective of this paper. In addition, the empirical models will help in identifying the key determinants of China's OFDI and to differentiate its impact on the different kinds of host and home countries of foreign investments.
Existing studies on China's OFDI have mainly focused on locational determinants with limited data availability and over a relatively short period of time. In terms of research methodology, Greenaway, Mahabir, and Milner (2008) find evidence of China's exports having a displacement effect on those of other Asian countries.

Explanation:
Yo creo que es claramente hallar pruebas, en mi opinión. En el inglés judicial es igual, "the police found enough evidence against the offender" es eso, la policía halló suficientes pruebas, evidencias, contra el delinquente.
