Ceci étant, les effets secondaires apparaissent peu fréquents dans les études consacrées aux statines. Mais on oublie qu'il y a presque toujours une run-in période, ou période d'essai, qui est un test de départ auprès des cobayes. Ceux qui réagissent d'emblée avec des effets secondaires importants sont écartés du processus !
