Buongiorno Valerio, confermando la traduzione che ti ho proposto per il concetto di "desertion" (abbandono), trattandosi di una causa di divorzio, sarebbe meglio utilizzare il termine "ricorrente" (plaintiff) invece di attore, mentre "convenuto" (defendant) è Ok.
Ti posto inoltre qui sotto la definizione legale di "desertion":
