"Analog zum Strom- oder Wasserzähler wird somit der individuelle Verbrauch erfasst. Die Verbrauchswerte sind direkt am Zähler ablesbar. Zudem können sie auch an eine zentrale Zählerstelle übermittelt werden."

From a text about an air meter. I can't find a translation for "Zählerstelle" that would fit this context. It's certainly not a counterposition!!! TIA for any light you can shed on this.
