Dans notre système juridique, c'est l'avocat qui, seul, a le pouvoir de représenter son client en justice et d'agir en son nom.
Dans cet autre système juridique, un juriste peut le faire pour autant que le client lui ai fait un vakalatnama.
Qui en fait l'égal de "notre" avocat.

A Vakalatnama under which a lawyer is empowered to act may be general. It may specifically confer wide authority upon a lawyer.

Serait-ce l'équivalent d'un mandat (ou mandat de le représenter en justice)? Perso, j'essayerai de trouver l'équivalent FR et je rajouterai "vakalatnam" entre parenthèses, puisque ce document semble spécifique à l'Inde.
