: Hi Muriel. IMO "middle" third is the only correct answer in this context (it's the most frequent/standard usage). I'd also disagree with "medial". See my discussion comment.

Certainly 'middle' is most common. I saw a number of examples of 'medium', anatomically speaking, but they could have been translations.
