Meaning of sentence

German to English Law/Patents Law (general) Wills
All,

I am translating court documents in relation to the reading of a will.
The pre-printed coversheet, titled "Niederschrift über Testamentseröffnung", contains a number of boxes to be ticked such as "Verschlossen abgeliefert von", "Der Verschluß war unversehrt. Nach Öffnung wurde/n die Urkunde/n entnommen.", etc.

The one that I have troubles with reads "Die in dem gemeinschaftlichen Testament/Erbvertrag vom eingeklammerten Teile blieben uneröffnet."

I do not understande the meaning of this sentence. The "vom" appears out of place and what are "engeklammerte Teile"?

The issuing court is a German Amtsgericht. The translation is intended for Australia.

Many thanks for any help you can offer.

Peter

@ Bettina you must be right.
Looking at the document again, I realise that the sentence appears over two lines with "vom" the last word in line one. That leaves space to enter a date. With that the sentence suddenly makes sense.
I was thrown by the fact that there was no line or box into/onto which to type the date.
Thanks a lot. Please post your comment as answer.

Date? To me, it seems, a date is missing after "vom". To understand what "eingeklammert" means, I think you would have to see that Testament/Erbschaftsvertrag.

neutral philgoddard : I agree as far as this goes, but it's not a complete answer.
