Re peer comment from Tim Drayton below, stand by for the following to be posted as the day progresses:
- to discuss a pedagogical care model
- to debate an academic supervision model
- to talk about a schooling guidance programme

i.e. endless rounds of discussion leading nowhere. Not untypical of the education world, but certainly not a desirable goal in itself.

disagree Tim Drayton : Surely 'erörtern' is 'discuss'; according to Duden: "ausführlich und oft ins Einzelne gehend über einen noch nicht geklärten Sachverhalt sprechen, diskutieren".

Surely one of the most ill-judged double interventions of all time here on KudoZ.
agree 784512 (X) : Surely translators do a little more than look words up in a dictionary. Context.

agree CMFTrier : I like the noun phrase here. I don't think we necessarily need 'discuss' as the verb, also devise, as suggest above, would work, also maybe clarify, set out.

to consult on educational assistance model

Sounds like they're consulting with one another to make a decision. I would use educational assistance in a tutoring context.
Peer comment(s):

disagree Tim Drayton : Maybe there is something wrong with me, but I do not see how the verb here can be anything but 'discuss' (or possibly 'debate').

The verb is easy. The noun phrase is the tricky part//Sorry about the flippant comment, Tim. Agree that "discuss" should be first choice. Was just being fancy about my choice of verb. Still think it's the noun that makes or breaks the solution, though.
