resolución superior de ampliación

Spanish to English Law/Patents Law (general)
This term applies in a Peruvian legal document setting out a challenge to a prosecution. One of the sentences in which it occurs is:

Conforme la resolución superior de ampliación, el fundamento e importancia de este mandato radica en......

Obviously a court ruling of some sort, and it may be a decision relating to a previous one that widens or extends its remit, but does anyone know for sure?

Unfortunately, there is no detail on the precise court in this section of the document. this phrase occurs as a reference in a body of text. However, I suspect that "superior" in this case does relate to a "higher court" as suggested. Will have to see if there are any clues further on. Many thanks for yoru responses. Sian.

It sounds like it means.... In accordance with the higher court decision to extend.....

But as AT says, we need a bit more context.

Context Please tell us in which Court (i.e. at which level) the order was made. You say a "court ruling of some sort" but what does the heading to the document say?
