Marketing - Business/Commerce (general) / Presentation on business skills training
French term or phrase: attitude perçue
The context is a list of suggestions about improving business skills training:

"Aller plus loin sur la formation commerciale (attitude percue, gestion du temps, remplir les objectifs,...)"

At a guess I thought that the translation for this would be something on the lines of "perceived behaviour" (which might be too scientific for UK English) or "performance" (which seems to lack some of the idea), so I am sure there must be a more common phrase used for this.

perceived attitude
Explanation:
We don't have enough context to know what the attitudes are to (and this may not be your fault), but that doesn't matter. I don't see any point in translating this phrase except with its exact English equivalent.

disagree  Clarissa Hull: "percue" is on the part of the receiver not the emitter

  -> It's two sides of the same coin. If it's projected, it's perceived. You don't have to be literal.

agree  Wolf Draeger: The wording is a bit heavy, but the idea is correct.

neutral  B D Finch: "Projected" is deliberate, whereas a person's perceived attitude might not be what they want to convey and might not even be their real attitude.

impression

Explanation:
Attitude perçue = the impression the employer makes on his superiors; the skill to be taught is how to give the right impression.

The idea is to contrast an employee's self-perceived behaviour to the impression s/he actually makes, with the latter being the most important (it's not how you think you come across that matters, it's how others think you come across).

Useful, but a little condescending, if you ask me :-)

Example sentence(s):
  • Advanced professional skills ([making the right] impression, time management, fulfilling objectives).
