English to Polish Other Biology (-tech,-chem,micro-)

Before going there, Max met Linus Pauling on the Caltech cam¬pus. Pauling, too, was funded by Rockefeller; his chemical physics studies had the hope of leading to a greater understanding of the structure of substances important to biology. Max asked Pauling if he had read some recent papers by Pascual Jordan, one of the founders of quantum mechanics, who was a close friend of Max's from his Gottingen days. In his papers (Jordan, 1938, 1939), Jordan had claimed that quantum mechanics showed that identical mac- romolecules had a special quantum mechanical resonance attrac¬tion for each other, which might help to understand the mechanism of gene replication and the synapsis of like molecules on the strands of homologous chromosomes during meiosis.
