Médecine (général)
CT scan of Chest, Abdomen and Pelvis following chemotherapy for tumour of sigmoid colon and liver metastases
I would be grateful for some help with this phrase.
The translation concerns a woman who has had chemotherapy for a sigmoid colon tumour and liver metastases.
2. A l'étage abdomino-pelvien:
Absence d'épanchement libre.
Importante discopathie dégénérative étagée, sans lésion lytique ou condensante circonscrite suspecte.
Thank you!

[no] suspicious demarcated [lytic or] sclerotic [lesion]
The report is clearly saying that there is no evidence of bony metastasis in the parts of the vertebral column that were imaged. Lytic/lytique are "vrais amis," but condensante is most definitely not. This term is saying that there is increased density which implies a sclerotic lesion: in other words, there is osteoblastic metastatic activity.
