Spanish term or phrase: bomba
Hello Prozers,

I am wondering how to best handle the use of this term with reference to a big-deal, world-rattling, breaking news story that a (fictional) reporter has stumbled on, and plans to make a name for himself with.

I have thought of "scoop" or "tip," but am looking for a term North American English speakers (or better yet, journalists) would use colloquially to refer to a somewhat scandalous and surprising news item.

Any suggestions would be tremendously appreciated.
