Italian term

closing

Italian to English Bus/Financial Finance (general)
I never touch financial texts but my best client has begged me to do a short letter as a last resort. My only problem is this word "closing", as in:
“closing con le banche finanziatrici”
“closing dell’operazione di finanziamento”
"finanziamento delle Banche in project financing (closing) di XXX"

Although there are quite a few web hits for “closing with the banks” and “closing the funding” (some of which may be translations), these are not terms I have ever heard and should be most grateful for some expert advice.

Discussion

philgoddard Feb 8, 2012:
Do you mean employee bonuses? In that case, it sounds like it means closing deals.
Russell Jones (asker) Feb 8, 2012:
These are bullet points for achievements attracting discretionary bonuses
philgoddard Feb 8, 2012:
Please give some better context - fragments of four or five words are difficult to make sense of.

Closing is the final procedure in a sale in which documents are signed and money changes hands. There may be targets of xx closings per month on which the salesman's bonus is based. As Phil says, closing the deal.
