Spanish term
liberación de moviles
Spanish to English
Tech/Engineering
Telecom(munications)
Mobile phones
Anyone living in Spain has seen this sign at every Chinese five-and-dime store in the country. When you buy a cell phone from one company and want to make it compatible for any other, you take it somewhere and have it "liberado." Now, as the phone is not oppressed or occupied I hardly think we can liberate it, leading it into a technological Promised Land... do we simply erase it (or would you have to say erase it's memory?), cleanse it, clear it, clean it, have its memory cleaned... etc. Techies? Thank you. JRP
