société de production
I would like a suitable equivalent for this phrase in English. Please note this has nothing to do with TV or film production. The context is a mining industry contract (agreement protocol) between Company X and its partner (referred throughout simply as the" Partner"). Company X is based in Gabon and the contract states that as part of this agreement both parties are to set up a company (société de production) specifically defined in this contract as follows:
"société de production désigne la société de droit Gabonais à créer par les Parties, conformément aux dispositions prévues à l'Article 5, dans les meilleurs délais suivant l'adoption de la Décision d'Exploitation."
AND:
"La Société de Production sera chargée, notamment, de (i) la réalisation des travaux requis pour débuter et poursuivre l'Exploitation du Projet X et (iii) la commercialisation du Minerai extrait du X."
"Production company" seems odd in this context in English. I have so far left it as The Mining Company - am I right? Does anyone have a better suggestion? Thanks.
NB: The ore being mined/extracted is manganese....if it helps!
