Discussion

FX Fraipont (X) May 30, 2011:
guesswork, suicide, come on... if you look at the axletech link I posted, you have a very convincing occurence of this combination of terms, supplemented by a very clear technical drawing.
kashew May 30, 2011:
Translation suicide! I'd ask for, no, I'd insist on, a numbered-parts drawing // from the client.
Didier Fourcot May 30, 2011:
Any idea of the type of device or part? The terms queried look like a guess game more than a translation question; there is always a way to translate "a gear of the sleeve of the adjuster", and reasonable translations may be suggested for "adjuster", "sleeve" and "gear", but the odds are high that this will be competely off-topic in a number of occurrences, for lack of understanding or simple lack of lock in the choice made for ambiguous terms
kashew May 30, 2011:
Possibly: adjusting sleeve gear-drive
Tony M May 30, 2011:
Attention! In lists like this the EN word order is sometimes inverted; this could be "a gear for the adjuster sleeve"; but it might also be "an adjuster sleeve for the gear"

You may need to see how other, more familiar terms are expressed just to be sure.
