Ciao a tutti!

Ho fatto varie ricerche sul "formal/informal school (with tuition)", ma non ho ben capito se in italiano si parla di "scuola formale/informale con lezioni private" o se c'è un altro termine più preciso. Conoscete il termine? Come lo tradurreste?

Ecco il contesto:
"P. was desperate to go to school, but it was three years before her employer relented, feeling guilty at seeing P. work so hard with no reward. Wanting to see the girl do well, the employer sent her to an INFORMAL SCHOOL WITH TUITION so she could pass an examination allowing her into a FORMAL SCHOOL."

Ecco la mia versione per il momento:
"P. moriva dalla voglia di andare a scuola, ma ci vollero tre anni prima che il suo datore di lavoro cedesse, sentendosi in colpa nel vedere P. lavorare sodo in cambio di nessuna ricompensa. Dal momento che il datore di lavoro voleva che la ragazza ottenesse dei buoni risultati, la mandò prima in una SCUOLA INFORMALE CON LEZIONI PRIVATE in modo che fosse pronta per superare un esame che le avrebbe aperto le porte della SCUOLA FORMALE."

Io propenderei per una riformulazione di questo tipo.
Es: le fece seguire un corso informale/non istutuzionale

per "with tuition", mi sembra un po' una ripetizione dire con lezioni private.... magari potresti mettere con supervisione. Just an idea.

Questo perché in Italia le scuole che offrono p.es. corsi di recupero anni per poi accedere all'esame di maturità statale sono tutte private.
