There's the passage the expression comes from. I'm not sure what "ainsi considérés" means here. For me, I can take it out and the sentence will still make sense, but I'm sure they didn't put it in there for no reason. It's from a journal article comparing medulloblastoma in adults and children.

Explanation:
This is a problem here-everyone seems to agree that the normal French meaning of "ainsi consideré" -"in this regard" or "considered in this way", makes little sense in the given context. I just wondered if we should take into account that language style and chosing the appropriate word is not necessarily the forté of the scientist and that the writer perhaps means "applied" rather than "considered", especially as "consideré" does have a slightly wider usage than the English "considered".
