slow-moving or dead stock Explanation: Another variation of surplus stock... "Dead stock. Obsolete inventory. Surplus stock. Excess inventory. Regardless of what you call it, dead stock exists and each year negatively impacts distributors' cash flow and bottom line" -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 24 mins (2011-02-03 09:42:30 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- ... and in a French job post I came across a distinction is made between the 2 stock categories, i.e. surplus stock (surstock) and what I would say is slow-moving inventory (stocks pénalisants): "proposez des plans d'action pour éliminer les stocks pénalisants et les surstocks" http://www.cadremploi.fr/emploi/detail_offre?offreId=0110099...
