Italian term

timbri di congiunzione

Italian to English Other Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs
I recently translated a birth certificate for a regular client agency - not my usual line of work! I had a frantic Skype message that they had forgotten to send me the certification text and the client was waiting in their office. "Two minutes" I said but then came across this term. I know what it is of course: the use of inked rubber stamps, applied partly on a copy of the original and partly on the translation, as a means of authenticating the certified translation. Stamps are much rarer in the UK of course (as are certified translations) and couldn't find a translation anywhere let alone a "recognised term". Subsequent searches have proved no more fruitful. For future reference, I should be grateful for suggestions from anyone more familiar with the term, in case I need to find it in a hurry again!

" .. il testo sopra riportato è la traduzione fedele e accurata del testo originale, a cui è allegato a mezzo di timbri di congiunzione".

Note from asker:
Hi Rachel; that is exactly what I put but can't help wondering if there is an "official" term. A belated Happy New Year!
Peer comment(s):

agree philgoddard : I think that even if there is a widely accepted term in English, this is a perfectly acceptable description.

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "Thanks to all. Difficult to choose between this and Elizabeth's conjunction stamp but I decided that would normally need an explanation in brackets."

Thank you Elizabeth; it looks like the only example on the web (albeit an authorative one). I wonder why Google didn't find it for me!

stamps across both pages

credo che si tratti dei timbri che sono apposti fra la pagina del testo l'originale (a destra) e quella del testo tradotto (a sinistra) per vidimarle entrambe.
