Je trouve l'explication suivante qui pourrait convenir, mais comment la traduire ?

A ma connaissance, il n'y a pas de traduction littérale du terme recherché. Vous pourriez peut-être parler du "renvoi brute" de l'information...

L'idée derrière la métaphore du "stove pipe" (la cheminée du poêle) est qu'il part du poêle et monte directement au toit, sans d'autres étapes en route (au premier ou deuxième étage, par exemple).
