: or on the basis of the preamble stated by Olaf "contract for the provision of consultancy and advisory services " or something to that effect. "service contract" runs the slight risk of being interpreted (in BE) as a contract of employment

I'll take your advice and always provide specific reference links. An executory contract is one in which a future act, by either or both parties, is yet to be fulfilled. Perhaps it fits Olav's full context. But I'll of course defer to the specialists.
