Der vollständige Satz lautet:
Überzeugend ist auch die Analyse der Dürrenmattschen Detektivromane in ihrer für ihr Verständnis so wichtigen Suite gelungen.
Mein Vorschlag:
The analysis of Duerrenmatt's detective novels is convincing in its understanding of its important suite.
Verstehe ich die 'Suite' richtig als (Reihen-)Folge?

Yes, "Folge" as you say in your question -- though I can't get that from the translation you provide.

As far as the German musical term "Suite" is concerned, one could deduce "series/ordered progression" from it, but a musical "Suite" has a particular structure and that is a musical structure and I don't see how this can be directly related to a series of novels.

So to me, it seemed as being used as the French term and that's why I thought it's Swiss usage.
