French to English Tech/Engineering Patents Opinion écrite/written opinion
Hi there,

Le document XY est un exemple de l'état de la technique décrivant des....ainsi que des butées amovibles pour limiter encore plus la course de la glissière.

My translation:

Louisa Tchaicha (asker) Jul 16, 2010:
Thanks Clanola, I used track instead of slider
Claire Nolan Jul 16, 2010:
I also found ''track'' for the seat mechanism for cars.
Louisa Tchaicha (asker) Jul 16, 2010:
aha yes track seems to fit better, slide or slider reminds me of a zip
chris collister Jul 16, 2010:
travelin..... I'd incline towards "slide" rather than "slider", but if it's for a car seat, then "track" would do it.
Louisa Tchaicha (asker) Jul 15, 2010:
definitely butée I have very little context, it seems to be about a car seat, "dispositif de coulissement de siège pour véhicule" would "slider" be logical in this context?
kashew Jul 15, 2010:
butée ou boutoir ? In your translation, removable buffers/bumping posts instead of bearings sounds more logical.

right on, John
agree Claire Nolan : Travel: the word I was digging in my brain for! Drawer travels, for example.
